Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to visit Iran next week to attend the inauguration ceremony of Iran's newly elected President, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, diplomatic sources revealed.
The ceremony will take place on July 30, following an official invitation from Iran to Pakistan's leadership.
The credentials presentation of Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian to Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, is scheduled for July 28.
Dr. Pezeshkian recently triumphed over rival Saeed Jalili in the presidential elections, securing 16 million votes, which constitutes 54 percent of the total votes cast.
