Bangladesh won the toss and opted to field first against India in the T20 World Cup 2024 match, which is being played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound on Saturday.

Earlier, India have won their first game of this round against Afghanistan while Bangladesh lost to Australia.

Bangladesh Captain Najmul ul Hasan Shanto said they would like to restrict India to a small total and chase it down. "We know the conditions, the wind factor, hopefully, we can execute. Good wicket. 150-160 is a good score."

Indian captain Rohit Sharma said he would've batted. "Good pitch to bat, depends on how much the sun bakes the surface and slows it down."
