The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is yet to gain any success in convincing the Jahangir Khan Tareen (JKT) group—an estranged faction within the PTI—to abandon its most pressing demand of minus-Buzdar in Punjab.
According to a report broadcasted by 24NewsHD TV channel, Punjab Minister for School Education Murad Raas contacted once again a member of the JKT group, Abdul Haye Dasti, on the directives of the prime minister.
The group was urged to abandon the demand of minus-Buzdar in Punjab.
It was also offered a solution to all its grievances through a meeting with the chief minister.
The group, however, did not accept any of the government’s offers besides the minus-Buzdar formula.
Murad Raas also apprised Defence Minister Pervez Khattak of the contacts with the JKT group.
It is to be noted here that the JKT group had also boycotted the recent cabinet committee meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
