Dacoits shot dead old woman during robbery in Burewala

An old woman died on the spot when some unidentified armed dacoits opened fire on her during a robbery attempt in her house in Burewala, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to local police, the incident took place in New K Block in the jurisdiction of Model Town Police Station, Burewala.
The dacoits, after snatching jewellery from the old woman, escaped from the scene.
The police further revealed that the dead woman was 70 years old and was living alone in the upper floor of the house. 
Soon after receiving the report, a heavy contingent of police reached the area and shifted the dead body of the old woman to a local hospital for an autopsy.
Earlier on March 17, 205, a man in Burewala shot dead his daughter and severely injured his niece for buying a pizza.
An uncle of the victims, who was later identified as Zubair, said that the incident occurred when the infuriated father accused both girls of trying to elope and later opened fire on them.
