Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance Shaukat Tareen has hinted at presenting a mini-budget next month, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

all the tax exemptions of Rs350 billion would be withdrawn, he said, adding that 

his government would not introduce any new tax but withdraw the tax exemptions of billions of rupees to strengthen the economy.

Talking to a private television channel, the PM adviser stressed the need for expanding the tax net and said the Pak rupee would not stabilize till reducing the current inflation in the country.

The financial advisor to PM also disclosed that PM Imran led government was also considering a proposal to impose additional duty on luxury items. He also confirmed that the petroleum levy would only be increased when the prices of crude oil would decrease in the international market.
