The first meeting of the three-member Judges' Committee, formed under the Amended Practice and Procedure Ordinance, is scheduled for today at 4 pm, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Monday.
According to the report, Justice Amin-Ud-Din Khan, who became a member of the committee following the Presidential Ordinance, will attend. Before the amendment, Justice Muneeb Akhtar was part of the committee.
The current committee now includes Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Qazi Faez Isa, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, and Justice Amin-Ud-Din Khan.
The meeting was previously postponed on Saturday due to the absence of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.
The agenda for the meeting includes setting a hearing to review petitions related to the interpretation of Article 63A of the Constitution of Pakistan.
The majority decision regarding Article 63A, authored by Justice Muneeb Akhtar, stated that any vote cast against party policy would not be counted.
Additionally, sources said that the committee may also schedule hearings for the controversial audio leaks case, which has been pending for over a year.
It is worth mentioning that the audio leaks case was previously stayed by a five-member bench of the Supreme Court led by former Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial.
