The owner of Eden Housing Society has resorted to the National Accountability Bureau to strike a plea-bargain deal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Dr Amjad, owner of Eden Housing Society, submitted an application to the NAB on Saturday seeking a plea-bargain deal. He informed the anti-graft body that he was ready to deposit Rs1 billion to the Bureau. He assured to pay the first installment within 10 days after the approval of his application.

During the previous PML-N government, Dr Amjad fled abroad.

The accountability court had declared Dr Amjad, Mustafa Amjad, Murtaza Amjad and Anjum Amjad proclaimed offenders and ordered to sell all properties of Dr Amjad.

The owners of Eden Housing Society were accused of looting 11,000 people and committing a fraud of Rs25 billion.

The NAB filed a reference consisting 10,000 pages and 12 folders against the housing society owners.
