Awami National Party (ANP) has announced approaching the court to remove the stay-order on the investigations of the BRT Peshawar project.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the ANP leader Aimal Wali Khan has said that the BRT is factually a mega corruption scheme of the PTI’s change government
In a statement on Sunday, Aimal said the PTI government had barred NAB and FIA from conducting BRT investigations because it has been revealed in the probe that the project was approved without any detailed design.
And, a blacklisted firm was awarded the contract after submitting fraudulent guarantees from the Bank of the West Indies, he added.
He said the PTI members and government officials received a commission of billions of rupees from the contractor in this project.
Auditor General, NAB and FIA have detected massive irregularities in the project but the PTI government has taken a stay order from the Supreme Court to cover up corruption and stop the investigation.
