The wife of Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI) president and former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi Qaisara Elahi expressing concerns about the electoral process said that the elections are not being held in the current election atmosphere.

Addressing media persons outside the Returning Office Gujrat, she

claimed that some cops tried to snatch her nomination papers when she was entering the RO Office for NA-64 with her nephew.

"They tried to take the papers from me," she stated, expressing her astonishment at the audacity of such an act.

"I couldn't imagine that someone could snatch the papers from me like this," she said adding that emphasizing the disrespectful treatment of women.

Qaisara Elahi conveyed her disbelief at the treatment her family received during this period.

"I cannot believe that we have been treated like this," Mrs. Pervaiz Elahi remarked, pointing out that those mistreating them seem oblivious to her identity as the wife and daughter of prominent figures.

Expressing frustration, Qaisara Elahi criticized those involved, stating, "These people are taking papers from women who are not worthy to be called men.

" Despite a High Court order, she claimed that the documents for Pervez Elahi and Monis, including hers, are not being received, raising concerns about the integrity of the electoral process.

Referring to a previous incident, Qaisara Elahi noted that there was no intention to submit documents after an alleged altercation.

"If I start talking about my family, it will be morning," she asserted, hinting at the gravity of the situation.

Furthermore, she condemned the abuse they endured, expressing that individuals like Shafi and Salik, if they had any shame, would not treat women in such a manner.
