Two terrorists make startling revelations to police in Karachi

Two terrorists of a banned outfit have made some important revelations to Karachi police during interrogation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to the statement available with 24News TV channel, Muhammad Gabol alias Jamshed, one of the terrorists, told Karachi Central police that he and his accomplices were involved in a targeted killing in Shikarpur in 2010, and that they had planned to assassinate the owner of a private news channel back in 2012, but failed.
Police told media that two hand grenades, a pistol, a Kalashnikov and bullets were recovered from the possession of Muhammad Gabol alias Jamshed and Azharuddin alias Mama.
Both Gabol and Azharuddin further disclosed that they had also provided shelter to other militants, masterminded terror attacks and stalked high-profile personalities.
They said they took Mumtaz alias Firaun and Ahmed alias Munna, who had fled from the prison, to Afghanistan. Furthermore, they said, they received training in Afghanistan; learnt to manufacture suicide jackets in 2017.
They further told police that they had injured a bus driver during a hit in Tando Allah Yar in 2003.
Azharuddin confessed that he and his accomplices had tried to take the life of a general secretary of a party in 2013, but his two party men Ahmad and Irfan were killed instead.
Azharuddin told police that he and his accomplices were also involved in target killings in Korangi area of the Sindh capital in 2014.
