On the third day of the ‘Jail Bharo’ movement, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Zulfi Bukhari, Fayyazul Hasan Chauhan, Sadaqat Abbasi and Ejaz Khan Jazi turned themselves into police in Rawalpindi on Friday.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, during the Jail Bharo movement in Rawalpindi city on Friday, only 80 workers turned themselves into the police.

PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari in police custody said they have surrendered themselves to the police, now let’s see how they treat them.

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri also surrendered to the police by opening the prisoner van's door forcefully as the police initially deny to arrest him.

When Allam Nasir surrendered, the Minister of Agriculture from Gilgit-Baltistan Kazim Maisam was also present.

The police sources said the three detention vans had a maximum capacity of 90 people so all of these vehicles were almost filled by the PTI’s arrested leaders and workers.

Former outspoken minister Fayyazul Hasan Chohan while surrendering to police said that no one would be coming from his home for his bail.

As per the channel report, Punjab police are waiting for the party leaders and workers at the city’s Committee Chowk. But so far only four prominent leaders have turned themselves into police.

While other PTI leaders namely Amir Mehmood Kiani, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi, Umar Tanvir Butt, Asif Mehmood, Raja Rashid Hafeez, and last but not least Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid are still to surrender to the police.

Later, PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari, Sadaqat Abbasi, Ejaz Jazi, Fayyazul Hasan Chauhan and other leaders and workers were sent to Adiala Jail.

Talking to a gathering outside the jail, Fayyazul Hasan Chauhan said in a statement from the jail, false propaganda was being made against him that he was released. He said he is fighting for the survival of Pakistan and was detained in Adiala Jail.

Zulfi Bukhari said PTI leaders have no fear of arrest and will not flee from Pakistan like Nawaz Sharif.
