Authorities have rescheduled the census in Multan, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

According to sources, the census will now commence on March 1

The count is to be conducted across the country including Multan

A total of 2000 teams will conduct the census in Multan.

Earlier, Commissioner of Multan Division Ashfaq Ahmad Chaudhry announced the first digital census would start on February 1

Talking to under-training enumerators he said the exercise was vital to determining future needs.

According to him, the first paperless census was due to last on March 4 while the revised commencement date is March 1 now.

Reportedly, 5,559 enumerators and 873 supervisors will perform duty during census across the division while 9975 blocks have been established.
