Urging the people to cooperate with the Sindh government in implementing the lockdown, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday warned that many would lose their lives if they didn’t stay at their homes.
Allaying the fears among the citizens, he said the provincial government had issued directives no one would be laid off during the lockdown and the employers would have to disburse the salaries too.
In case of any employer not following the orders, the people must inform the provincial government, the PPP chairman said, adding that the government would assist the employers later if they didn’t resort to laying off the staff.
Demanding the federal government to extend cooperation for fighting the coronavirus, Bilawal in a video message said that the foremost responsibility of a government was to protect the lives and health of citizens.
