Veteran actor Sajjad Kishwar laid to rest in Rawalpindi

The veteran film, TV and stage artist, Sajjad Kishwar Tuesday laid to rest in Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, the legendary, Sajjad Kishwar had the honor of working in more than 1,000 TV dramas and 100 films in different languages.
Sajjad who was born in Ludhiana in 1937, had join Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) way back in 1967.
It was in 1947 when his family moved to Pakistan and settled in Rawalpindi, where he completed his matriculation.
Sajjad completed his graduation from Gujranwala. Surprisingly, he joined the Pakistan Times as a circulation manager.
But, it was not too late, when he shifted his gears and pursued acting, with his role as a villain in the play ‘Raizgari’.
When it comes to the world of acting, Sajjad had numerous awards in his house, but had no money to get medication for more than a decade.
In 2006, Sajjad Kishwar received "Lifetime Achievement Award" from Radio Pakistan. In 2010, he received “Lifetime Achievement Award” from National Development Council.
Sajjad also has received Tamgha-e-Imtiaz from the government of Pakistan.
