Anti-smog combat: Smart lockdown notified

Punjab government Thursday issued a notification of the smart lockdown in smog-affected districts across the province, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
Punjab Disaster Management Authority issued the notification stating that transportation was decided to be restricted in the districts affected by smog.
The markets and offices will be allowed to open after 3 pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Punjab Relief Commissioner Nabeel Javed ordered the district administrations to ensure imposing the smart lockdown. He said that smog can only be eliminated if the administrations and the public cooperate.
