Terrorist involved in Qawwal Amjad Sabri’s murder arrested

A dangerous terrorist belonging to banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and mastermind of renowned Qawwal Amjad Sabri’s murder was arrested by Counter Terrorism Department in a major operation in Karachi on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV.
The CTD team got hold of Hafiz Qasim Rasheed from Patel Para area of Karachi, CTD incharge Mazhar Mashwani said, adding they have also recovered a hand-grenade and a pistol from the terrorist’s possession.
The CTD incharge further informed that Qasim Rasheed ran his terror network from insdie the jail. “He sent Asim Kapri and Ishaq Bobby who had murdered Qawwal Amjad Sabri and four Rangers personnel.
He said the accused was in prison in connection with a number of cases relating to terrorism and other serious crimes. Qasim Rasheed was freed from jail recently, the CTD incharge said.
The accused has also confessed to killing of Assistant Superintendent Jail Pir Masood Ahmad and others, the CTD officer added.
