The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) held a unique "Connection Camp" on Monday, aiming to enhance communication, teamwork, and performance within the national cricket team.

This was stated by Salman Naseer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PCB while addressing a press conference here on Monday.

Flanked by Gary Kirsten, Pakistan’s white-ball coach, and Jason Gillespie, the red-ball coach, the COO highlighted the importance of the camp in preparing for the challenging season ahead.

"We have a hectic schedule, and it was the right moment to sit together and discuss matters," said Naseer.

He acknowledged the need for improved performance and stated that the camp provided the perfect setting for addressing any concerns.

“The camp, designed to foster better team dynamics, featured key coaches and senior players.”

Gary Kirsten praised the initiative, calling it a great success.

"The connection camp was brilliant. We spoke about supporting each other, and I believe we’ve largely achieved the purpose of this gathering. Everyone has shown a real commitment to restoring the pride of Pakistan cricket," Kirsten remarked.

Jason Gillespie echoed Kirsten’s views, emphasizing the importance of building a stronger bond within the team. "It was a wonderful opportunity to sit down together. We need to connect, and this was the right time to do so," said Gillespie.

The day-long camp was attended by some of Pakistan’s top cricketers, including captain Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, Shadab Khan, and Shan Masood.

These senior players not only participated in discussions but also took on leadership roles, serving as examples for younger players.
