Chaudhrys seek uniformed parliament against coronavirus

PML-Q President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that the government will have to patch up with the Opposition against the coronavirus as it’s not the time for politics, and has appealed to the overseas Pakistanis to come forward in this critical time.
In a high-profile meeting, PML-Q Senator Kamil Ali Agha and Chaudhry Salim Haryar called on Ch Shujaat, Pervez Elahi and Moonis Elahi to discuss the ongoing situation in the country.
The leaders decided that the party would continue to provide the assistance packages, including medical equipment, to the impoverished people in the surroundings of Gujrat, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sialkot, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala and other districts of Punjab.
“In addition, the families affected by the coronavirus should also be taken care of,” Ch Shujaat said and added that “The number of the coronavirus patients has been increasing with each passing day.”
The PML-Q leader also appealed to the overseas Pakistanis to “join hands in this noble cause, and provide assistance to the people who are financially less fortunate than they are.”
On this occasion, Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervez Elahi, said, “In this critical time, Pakistan Muslim League will not leave its people alone.”
