A team of doctors from the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital, led by Dr Asim Yousaf, Saturday visited Adiala Jail to conduct a medical examination of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to jail sources, this examination followed a request made by the PTI founder's legal team on August 8, seeking a thorough medical check-up.
The court had earlier ordered that a medical examination be conducted and a report be submitted to assess the former prime minister's health.
Sources added that the PTI founder has been experiencing tinnitus symptoms, a condition characterized by a ringing sensation in the ears, heaviness in the head, and dizziness.
This is not the first time the PTI founder has suffered from tinnitus, as sources revealed that he had previously experienced similar symptoms.
A government-appointed doctor had examined him and prescribed medication.
However, it was reported that the PTI founder's physician advised against taking the prescribed medication.
Dr. Asim has now completed the medical examination of the PTI founder at Adiala Jail, and the findings are expected to be submitted to the relevant authorities as per the court's directive.
