Heavy fog covers Motorway, M1, M2, M4, M5 closed for traffic

Heavy fog on Sunday evening covered different sections of the motorway, reported 24News HD TV Channel. 

according to the report, following the deteriorating fog situation, the administration has closed the motorways M4 and M5 to traffic.

the report said that the officials have started efforts to evacuate traffic through nearby interchanges on the motorways.

the motorway police have appealed to travelers that they should use alternative routes for urban traveling and should make sure to use yellow lights during foggy hours.

the channel report said due to the closure of different sections of the motorways, passengers are facing severe difficulties.

According to the Spokesperson Syed Imran Ahman, Lahore Multan Motorway is closed from Faizpur to Darkhana while M2 from Lahore to Kot Momin closed for heavy traffic due to fog.

The spokesperson said M4 from Pindi Bhattian to Abdul Hakeem is closed as the dense fog has covered the motorway section.

He also advised the motorway users that they should avoid unnecessary travel and must use front and rear fog lights keeping a proper distance from the next vehicle.

Motorway police also closed M2 from Lahore to Leila by the reason of dense fog.
