The Punjab Health Department formed a committee to probe the alleged negligence in the treatment of Anarkali blast victim 9-year-old Absar.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the report will be filed within 48 hours. The hospital administration, Absar was treated immediately after reaching the hospital. The question of negligence does not arise.

The three-member body consists of Special Secretary Ajmal Bhatti, Prof Tayyaba, and Dr Aamir Ghafoor Mufti. The Mayo Hospital admin has already sent its report to the chief secretary. It stated the was brought to the hospital in a critical condition at 1:58 pm and his treatment started immediately

He died due to the severity of his injuries, the report said, adding that it can also be seen in the CCTV footage that the treatment of Absar was started even before the emergency slip was made.

According to sources, senior doctors of Mayo Hospital have expressed displeasure over the formation of an inquiry committee into the death. According to doctors, the move by the health department will send a negative message and discourage doctors.
