Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said on Saturday that prison terms awarded to former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the 190 million Pound case (Al-Qadir Trust case), had laid bare the ugly face of the PTI, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, she said that the party was not popular with the masses.
She also said that Khyber Pakhtunkwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Ali Amin Gandapur was least bothered about the welfare of the people of the province.
Azma claimed that on the contrary Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had taken revolutionary steps for the betterment of the people of the province. “So much so that now the people of the other three federating units also acknowledge her services.”
She said that the farmers in Punjab had used 50 per cent of urea courtesy the Kisan Card besides purchasing agricultural equipment worth over Rs150 billion.
The Punjab minister informed that wheat sowing in the province would be monitored through satellites. “The pictures taken by the satellites will then be compared with the pictures of the ripe crop.”
She said that registration had begun for the ‘Ramadan Nigehban Package’ under which relief would be provided to all deserving families.
Azma told the media that 100,000 scooters would be provided to competent students in the province. “The chief minister will soon provide laptops to the students, who meet the criterion.”
