Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the appointment of Ambreen Jan as new federal information secretary, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to sources, Ambreen Jan is a senior officer at Information Group and is a good choice to replace Information Secretary Shaheera Shahid who retired on Thursday.
The prime minister had interviewed five bureaucrats for the post of information secretary.
The notification for Ambreen Jan’s appointment as new information secretary will be released today, the sources said.
Ambreen Jan is known for hard work and is popular with the ministry employees and officers equally.
