A speeding tanker fell into River Indus from Ghazi Ghat flyover in Dera Ghazi Khan after one of its tyres burst, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Patrolling Police said that the tanker, carrying goods from Lahore to Dera Ghazi Khan, first hit a truck before falling into the river.  

They said that however the police personnel and local fishermen managed to save the life of the driver, while efforts were being made to fish out the container from the river.
