A returning boomerang alert – Pakistani actress Ghana Ali has decided to get vocal about Pakistani’s obsession with filters to achieve fair-toned skin.
Ghana Ali took to her Instagram story to write a brief message regarding a common obsession that is found in Pakistan and evidently we think it is found all over the world in which people take the help of beauty filters to make themselves look better.
However as Ghana was emphasising on the culture of Pakistan and how having a fair complexion might be one of the most appreciative things found here, Ghana chose to point out the nation’s irresistible urge to somehow be included in the list of ‘gora’ people.
Yes this is also known as the ‘gora’ complex.
While the actress might be pointing out a very valid observation, netizens believe that this particular case screams of ‘hypocrisy’.
Social media users blame Ghana of being the ‘filter queen’ herself.
Then some further declare that showbiz members themselves get ‘fairness’ injections.
‘After getting plastic surgery done, one must give a lecture on beauty’, a netizen chose to fire Ghana with smart sarcasm.
All in all, the population doesn’t approve of Ghana being a hypocrite and blaming others of deeds that she herself indulges in.
And that is a fair point if you think about it.
