Newly-appointed Punjab advocate general assumes charge of his duty

Newly appointed Punjab Advocate General Khalid Ishaq assumed the charge of his duties on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Additional Advocate General Ch Jawad Yaqoob and others were also present on this occasion.

A Supreme Court lawyer, Khalid Ishaq, was yesterday appointed as the advocate general of Punjab.

His appointment came following the resignation of former advocate general Shan Gul.

The Punjab government issued a notification of his appointment on Saturday after the approval of Governor Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman.
