Pakistan has registered an uptick in daily number of tests and infections with no fatality during the last 24 hours (Wednesday), showed the data released by the National Institute of Health (NIH) on Thursday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the NIH data, the death toll in the country remained the same at 30,662 whereas the number of total infections now rose to 1,580,980 after adding the fresh 13 cases.

During the last 24 hours (Wednesday), 2,909 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan whereas the positivity ratio stood at 0.45%. The number of patients in critical care stood at six.
India records 532 Covid-19 cases
India on Thursday continued its downward slide in Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
According to the data, the active case load continued to drop significantly and is presently at 6,168. With the active infections slumping daily, the ministry data has pegged the recovery rate at 98.97 percent.
According to the numbers provided by the ministry, the death toll has reached 5,31,854 as five new fatalities were recorded in a day. Two deaths were recorded from West Bengal, Maharashtra and Rajasthan and the health ministry has announced the fatality rate at 1.19 percent.
The daily positivity rate, according to the ministry data, is 3.52 percent and the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 5.42 percent with the total number of those who recuperated from the disease reaching 44,450,404.
According to the ministry's data, 2,20,66,02,872 doses of Covid vaccine have been administered so far under the nationwide inoculation drive, and 1,596 injections were administered in a single day.
