PTI a peaceful political party, never resorted to violence: Barrister Gohar

PTI Core Committee held its meeting on Friday in a tent as police and local authorities had demolished a part of PTI’s central secretariat building in G-8/4 sector Islamabad before sealing the premises over encroachment allegations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Due to the storm and rain, the core committee meeting was finished early. Moreover, due to the wind, a tree fell near the tent and two workers got injured.

After the meeting, PTI Chief Barrister Gohar Ali Khan condemned the CDA’s demolition drive and said: “We are peaceful people. PTI women were put in jails but we never resorted to the violence”. He said in a democratic country, the central office of a party is protected and termed sacred. He said due to CDA’s illegal move, the PTI core Committee held its meeting in a makeshift.

Opposition leader in National Assembly MNA Omar Ayub on the occasion said that there was no supremacy of constitution in the country’s outdated political system. He claimed that CDA took the same aggressive steps which Israel was doing in Palestine and the Modi government in Occupied Kashmir.

Omar said the love of Imran Khan cannot be deleted from the heart of PTI workers and the nation. He said PTI’s movement which will bring peace and prosperity in the country.

He claimed that PTI will fight against the outdated system till the end, adding that the struggle against the government of Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz will continue.

PTI leader Shibli Faraz said that the system of fascism and oppression was on the decline. PTI has already won this battle. The government could not compete with PTI politically that was why they were now using force.

Shibli said the restoration of the constitution was their biggest target. He said history will remembers how PTI founder was implicated in fake cases. He said due to the illegal activities by the government, they were spoiling the image of the country.

Shibli further said, “foreign direct investment was on the decline in the country”. He said PTI woman leader Yasmin Rashid was fighting for life and death in the hospital in fake cases. He said, “Our women were enduring the hardships and imprisonment more than a year”. He said despite all of the hardships PTI leadership and workers maintained their dignified character.

He said, “Our struggle till now is political”. He said, “the judges were being harassed, they want arbitrary decisions”. He claimed that Nawaz Sharif always played fixed matches. Under PML-N government, the future of youth does not look bright.

PTI leader Muhammad Ali Khan said that, “He who defended Pakistan in every field of life was being labelled as traitor”. He said PTI workers follow an ideology, not a building. He said that “I believe that Adiala jail captive has won”. He said PTI has always given a message of unity in the country.
