The officers of economist group in the planning ministry on Friday once again went on strike in support of their demands, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The officers came out of their office after announcing a pen down strike.
They were demanding a 150% executive allowance like other services groups. They wanted an equal policy. They lamented that the economist group was deprived of the allowance.
The protesting officers said that the government awarded executive allowance to the government officers working in BS 17 to 22 but it was denying the same to them which they termed was an injustice.
They were of the view that the officers of economist group played an important role in framing economic policies.
They decided to stage a protest in front of secretary planning division.
They said that their pen down strike would continue until their demands were met.
