Instant messaging platform WhatsApp has been restored hours after it went down for users in Pakistan and other countries on Tuesday in an outage about which people were unable to use the Meta-owned applications, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Facebook-owned platform having over two billion users worldwide has not issued any statement. The users, however, took to other social media platforms as they failed to connect on Whatsapp.
As of now, there is no word about what is happening to these social media platforms. While this may be true, many social media users took no time and addressed the issue on Twitter – the only social media platform working right now.
As soon as the users faced the problem, they headed to Twitter and addressed the problem with the hashtag #Whatsappdown. Soon after, countless other users from different countries came up with the same issue and added more hashtags – #Instagramdown and #Facebookdown, asking questions why are WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger down right now?
