Woman dies after falling from elevator in Karachi

A woman died after falling from an elevator in a building in Karachi late Thursday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The incident occurred in a building near Agriya Jamatkhana in Lee Market of Bheempura area when a woman boarded the lift but could not maintain her balance and fell off.

The woman identified as 50-year-old Najma daughter of Muhammad Musa died on the spot.

According to Chhipa Welfare sources, the woman’s body was shifted to Civil Hospital.

Meanwhile, the police have started the investigation.

I may be mentioned here that on January 12, 2024, at least 12 women workers were injured when an elevator collapsed in a office building in Karachi. The office was belonged to a private company located near Korangi Indus Chowrangi.

Rescue personnel were called in to provide first aid treatment to the injured women.
