Pregnant woman dies due to doctor’s negligence in Karachi

A nine-month-old pregnant woman died due to a doctor’s negligence at a private medical clinic located in North Nazimabad area of Karachi triggering an angry protest by her relatives, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Sources said that the deceased pregnant women brought to a medical clinic for routine medical check-up but a junior who was on duty refused to attend her.

After passage of three hours, condition of pregnant woman become critical, while family members of the pregnant protested and demanded to summon a senior doctor.

Due to her severe condition the pregnant women died and heirs of the pregnant woman demanded to save the unborn child.

Later the junior doctor of the local hospital managed to escape from the scene due to protest of pregnant woman’s relatives.

Administration of the local hospital called the police instead to given first-aid to pregnant woman.
