Fog forces cancellation of two flights at Lahore airport; 11 rescheduled

Thick fog in Lahore on Sunday morning affected flight operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport as two flights were cancelled and 11 were rescheduled, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The visibility at the airport was reduced to 800 meters and five flights were delayed.
The flight ER524 coming from Karachi was cancelled.
Flight ER525 going to Karachi from Lahore was cancelled.
Flight QR620 coming from Doha will land at Lahore airport after a delay of 14 1/2 hours at 3:30pm.
Flight WS1195 coming from Tehran will land at Lahore Airport 1pm.
Flight TK714 coming from Istanbul will land at Allama Iqbal Airport at 2pm.
Flight PA431 coming from Abu Dhabi is delayed for 1 ½ hours.
Flight ER712 going to Sharjah will take off at 2:30pm.
Flight ER1821 going to Jeddah is delayed for 14 hours and will take off at 5pm.
Motorways start opening
The plain areas in Punjab were engulfed in thick fog on Sunday morning, shutting many motorways owing to low visibility.
The motorway authorities closed M2 from Lahore to Sheikhupura, M4 from Abdul Hakeem to Gojra, M3 from Faizpur Lahore to Darkhana and M4 from Sher Shah to Abdul Hakeem.
However, the authorities opened M2 for all kinds of traffic. M2 remained closed for 10 hours and 45 minutes. The M3 from Lahore to Multan was opened after a closure of 11 hours. M11 from Lahore to Sialkot was also opened after the curtain of fog started lifting.
