Visibility reduced due to dense fog, forcing the authorities to close different sections of motorways on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the motorways police, Motorway (M-2) was closed from Lahore to Lilla due to heavy fog.

Lahore-Multan Motorway was closed from Faizpur to Darkhana, and Motorway (M-4) was also closed from Pindi Bhattian to Abdul Hakeem.

Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (M-11) was closed due to fog, and Motorway (M-5) was also closed from Sher Shah to Taranda Muhammad Panah.

Motorway (M-8) and Indus Highway Road were also closed due to fog.

“The motorways were closed for the safety of the public,” the motorways police spokesperson said.

“The motorists should use fog lights at the front and rear side of vehicles. The motorists should also avoid unnecessary travel,” he added.
