Man sentenced to seven years in jail for stripping transgender person naked

A lower court in Rawalpindi on Friday sentenced a man to seven years in prison and Rs100,000 fine for stripping a transgender person naked at gunpoint, kidnapping him and torturing him.
A video showing convict Israr subjecting the transgender person to torture at gunpoint at his place had gone viral in 2020.
Rawalpindi’s Waris Khan Police Station had registered an FIR against Israr on the application of victim transgender person Saeed, aka Sana. The police submitted solid evidence against the convict in the court and Additional Sessions Judge Jahangir Ali announced the verdict in this case.
