Quran Mehal’s dome destroyed by lightning bolt in Chunian

The dome of Quran Mehal in Chunian collapsed after being struck by a bolt of lightning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Locals of the area said that the bolt of lightning was so powerful that it sent a wave of shock and fear among residents of the area.

“The lightning was so overpowering in its sound and strike that it felt as if we had become hearing impaired,” they added.

The walls of the Mehal, and the Quranic scriptures placed inside it, were also damaged following the collapse of the dome.

None of the local administration officials came to the site.
