Mushahid Hussain tests Covid positive

Chairman of the Senate Defence Committee and the Pakistan-China Institute Mushahid Hussain Wednesday contracted COVID-19 and quarantined himself in his home in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Earlier, Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid also contracted coronavirus.

Moreover, Pakistan has recorded a further drop in the Covid-19 infections during the last 24 hours (Tuesday) with almost all indicators showing a slide in coronavirus statistics, showed the figures released by National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Wednesday morning.

During the last 24 hours (Tuesday), 51,063 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan whereas the positivity ratio stood at 10.17 percent. The number of patients in critical care was 1,293.
