13-year-old Ahmed Abdullah Sunday completed the 42.2-kilometer full marathon in Islamabad, showcasing the potential of Pakistan's young athletes, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Meanwhile, in the children's 5-kilometer race, 7-year-old Muhammad Arif claimed the top spot, cementing his place as a budding star in the running world.
Norwegian athlete Naz Hilton secured the first position in the women's full marathon competition, while Ayesha Masroor Butt finished second. Sadia Maqbool claimed third place, displaying incredible stamina and determination.
Among the men, Israr Khattak emerged victorious, taking first place in the full marathon. He was followed by Mumtaz Khan in second place and Muhammad Akbar in third, making it a thrilling contest.
In the women's half marathon category, Christina Viza clinched the top spot. Rabeea Farooq secured second place, while Saltanat Sabina completed the podium by earning third place.
The men's half marathon saw Sohail Amir finish first, with Muhammad Ijaz and Muhammad Ikram taking second and third places, respectively.
The women’s 5-kilometer race had Musna Mughal winning first place, followed by Khadija Qadir in second and Amna Khan in third.
In the men’s 5-kilometer race, Ateeq-ur-Rehman claimed first place, with Muhammad Usman finishing second and Umar Zaman in third.
The men’s 10-kilometer race saw Muhammad Akram clinch the top position. Ahmad Chaudhry came in second, and Saeem Masih secured third position.
Meanwhile, the results for the women’s 10-kilometer category are yet to be announced.
