In a yet another example of targeting women with brute force, a policeman killed two married sisters in Tando Adam Khan, Sanghar.
24NewsHD TV channel reported that Ali Raza opened fire at a house in Khaliq-uz-Zaman Colony, killing Ashi, 24, and Maria, 21, in the early hours of Thursday. Another woman, 40-year-old Parveen, sustained bullet injuries.
According to the victims’ father, the killer used to harass his daughters about which he had lodged a complaint with police.
The police have arrested the culprit, as the bodies and the injured were shifted to a local hospital.
Treating women as a property is common in our society, resulting in honour killings and deadly disputes.
Earlier on Monday night, six people were killed over a marriage feud in Lashari village of Naushahro Feroze, as two armed men stormed a house, killing four people. The attackers were also killed in the resultant exchange of fire.
