Former Punjab education minister Murad Raas has announced parting ways with ex-PM Imran Khan.
“We have decided to quit Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf,” teary-eyed Raas said while addressing a press conference along with Yawar Kamal, Pir Ahmad Khagga, and Chaudhry Adnan in Lahore.
The ex-minister said a group of like-minded people is in the making to accomplish the betterment mission and the doors is open for all.
No one wants to fight with institutions, he stressed adding that there are differences of opinion and problems can be resolved by talks
Raas also blamed PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s “advisors” in Lahore for bringing the party to where it is today.
Raas also that he never expected to see a day when he would be parting ways with Imran.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Firdous Ashiq Awan announced quitting the PTI, saying: “Imran Khan’s agenda is like poison for Pakistan. I am a victim of this agenda too.":
However, she said her political journey will continue as she renewed her pledge to serve the nation.
She said she has been on the back foot for a year because of ‘differences in narrative’ and the PTI chairman ‘used people like tissue papers.
Firdous said: “I believe that the martyrs … their love and the country’s respect are a part of our faith. Those who disrespected martyrs attacked Pakistan’s foundation and ideology. Imran Khan and Pakistan can’t function together.”

She rued riots on May 9 when PTI leaders and workers took to the streets to vent their spleen against the arrest of Imran Khan in a corruption case.
Angry protesters damaged public property, attacked state assets and stormed sensitive installations.
The mobsters stormed the GHQ in Rawalpindi, Corps Commander House in Lahore and radio Pakistan in Peshawar too.
Innocent people lost their lives and the violent protest left a trail of destruction.
She claimed that the riots following Imran’s arrest were planned at Zaman Park.
“A conspiracy was prepared on foreign agenda and its aim was to disrespect Pakistan’s national institutions and please foreign masters.”
Reportedly a local PTI leader from Lodhran, Muhammad Asif Awan said that he is heartbroken over the May 9 violence. He said he vigorously condemns the violence and quit politics
Also, PTI Vice President District Kohat Bashir Khan has his party and sent his resignation from the party post. In a video message, Bashir Khan said that he was disappointed after seeing the incidents of May 9. “I denounce the arson attack on military installations and desecration of the monuments of Shuhda,” he added.
A former provincial advisor from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Malik Qasim Khan has announced to quit the PTI along with his companions in Peshawar.
He said that he is leaving the party on his own, without any external pressure. He said that he joined the party for the development of Karak but the area is still sans progress.
Several party leaders and lawmakers – including Shireen Mazari, Aamir Mehmood Kiani, Malik Amin Aslam, Mahmood Moulvi, Aftab Siddiqui, Fayyazul Hassan Chohan, Mussarrat Jamshed Cheema and her spouse Jamshed Cheema – parted way with Imran Khan.
