Youth ‘tricked’ into wedlock with 60-year-old maid in Vehari

A youth has allegedly been lured into wedlock with a 60-year-old woman in Karampur area of Vehari town of Punjab.

The bride, Nusrat Bibi, was serving as a maid at the 20-year-old groom’s house. According to the locals, she is a member of a gang that swindles people in the name marriage.

The father of groom alleged that the photo of a 20-year-old woman was shown at the engagement event while the bride’s face wasn’t shown even after Nikkah.

The groom claimed his father was also tricked into paying Rs70,000 to his in-laws the relatives of in the name of marriage match. He said his life has been ‘destroyed’.
