Hotel owner made to pay Rs50, 000 to customer in damages

A consumer court in Lahore on Friday made a restaurant owner pay Rs50, 000 to a customer in damages for misbehaving with him in front of his guests and making him leave the restaurant despite the fact that he had got the table booked in his name, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Infuriated over the treatment meted out to him, Muhammad Ayub, a resident of Mozang area of Lahore, had approached a consumer court against the owner of Café Eden Hotel at city’s Fortress Stadium area, and demanded Rs110, 000 in damages.
The court, however, settled for Rs50, 000 in damages which the owner had to pay to the aggrieved person on the spot.
