Punjab CM inaugurates road built from plastic waste in Lahore

Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated a road built from plastic waste in Lahore and told the media that it was the best project to utilise plastic waste, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
“The plastic waste was processed to construct the road which will not deteriorate sooner,” he said.
“The cost of the road made from plastic waste is Rs20 million per kilometer,” he added.
“The drainage system in Lahore has been improved,” he stated.
The chief minister, in his message on International Newspaper Day, said that newspapers were the most authentic source of correct information.
“Newspapers were, are and will remain an important part of every society. The importance of newspapers for raising public awareness is unquestionable,” he added.
“Newspapers played an unforgettable role in every society for the promotion of free democratic values,” he stated.
The caretaker chief minister also visited the Central Business District (CBD) from Centrepoint to Walton Road and reviewed the pace of work on the project.
He inspected the launch of an overhead bridge project on the Walton railway track.
He reviewed the construction of the road connecting CBD Punjab Boulevard and Walton Road.
He also reviewed the road connecting Main Boulevard Gulberg, CBD and Ferozepur Road.
The chief minister gave necessary instructions to the authorities concerned for the best traffic management.
He also directed the completion of the Walton Overhead Bridge project on the fast track within 60 days.
