A case has been registered against the health minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on violation of corona-related standard operating procedures, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Reportedly, KP Health Minister Taimoor Saleem Jhagra held an Iftar dinner party in honour of hundreds of people at a local restaurant on Monday night. His dinner party’s news and pictures went viral on social media.
The KP administration took notice of the incident and asked the police to register a case against the minister.
The administration also raided the restaurant and sealed it on flouting the corona SOPs. The restaurant manager told the administration that the management had informed the minister that indoor dining was prohibited.
The KP authorities sent an order to the police to register cases against the minister and restaurant’s owner and manager. They said no one is above the law.
