Asim Ahmed replaces Ashfaq Ahmed as FBR chairman

The federal government has removed Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed as the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chairman and appointed Asim Ahmed in his place instead, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The Establishment Division on Wednesday notified the appointment of Asim as the new FBR chairman. 

The federal cabinet which met in Islamabad under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved the appointment of the new FBR chairman.
