A consumer court in Lahore on Thursday ordered a rider company to pay Rs90,000 as the full price of a laptop and Rs30,000 in damages to a customer the laptop of whom was lost due to the company’s negligence, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talal Azhar, a Model Town resident, had filed a lawsuit seeking Rs650,000 in damages. 

He stated that he contacted the Rider Company of Ferozepur Road to deliver laptop from DHA to Valencia Town. But, the rider lost the laptop instead of delivering it to the specified location.

The petitioner further said that his laptop, which was worth Rs90,000 lost owing to the rider negligence, had caused him mental agony. 

After hearing the case, Judge Adnan Mushtaq ordered to issue a decree against the Rider Company of Ferozepur Road. 

The judge ruled that the petitioner be compensated with Rs30,000 in addition to the Rs90,000 laptop cost.
