LHC Chief Justice dismisses two civil judges over misconduct

Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan dismissed two judges from their posts for being found guilty of misconduct on Friday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Lahore Sessions Judge Imtiaz Ahmed and Multan Sessions Judge Saima Wahid were dismissed over the misconduct.
LHC Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan has adjusted the salary of Sessions Judge Noushehra Muhammad Islam to scale 19 for three years. The reduction in her salary is also due to misconduct.
The LHC Chief Justice also issued orders to terminate the pension and allowances of retired Additional Session Judge Jamil Ahmed Khokhar in Mianwali. The retired judge has also been ordered to return the pension upon proving misconduct.
As per the channel report, a notification regarding imposing penalties on serving and retired judges over misconduct was also issued on Friday.
According to the notification, if the judge has already received a pension, it should also be withdrawn.
