The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has decided to launch a mega project aimed at curbing electricity theft, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to the report, as part of the initiative, modern meters will be installed on 100 and 200 transformers within the company’s network.

Additionally, more than 25,000 distribution transformers across LESCO’s system will be equipped with meters to monitor and manage electricity distribution more effectively.

The project is designed to help control line losses in specific areas by monitoring each transformer closely.

The initiative will be carried out under the East Performance Management System, ensuring efficient execution.

This project has been developed in line with the directives from the Ministry of Power Division.
