The decision to send Pakistan cricket team in India for playing World Cup will be made by the government and the issue will also be highlighted at the Asian Cricket Council, said PCB’s interim chairman Najam Sethi in an informal discussion with the media outside the National Bank Arena during the first Test match between Pakistan and New Zealand, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sethi also said that he left the post of PCB Chairman in Imran-led government and never intervened in PCB affairs during four years.
The 74 year-old also explained the conversation with former head coach Mickey Arthur. He told media that he is in touch with Mickey Arthur and is trying to bring him back as Pakistan Cricket Team’s head coach because Pakistan became the number one test team during his tenure.
It is pertinent to note that Ramiz Raja bashed Najma Sethi and made explosive remarks after being sacked as PCB Chairman.
In response to a question regarding Ramiz Raja, Sethi ruled out the possibility of any hostility or hard feelings towards Ramiz Raja. He said he has no objection if Ramiz Raja wishes to resume commentary. He will be welcomed.
He also hinted that Quetta might host some PSL matches and that women's cricket will soon be revived.
