Massive drugs haul at Torkham border

The Anti Narcotic Force (ANF) lassoed three Afghan nationals thwarting a bid to smuggle a huge quantity of drugs from Afghanistan to Khyber District in Pakistan in a joint operation with Frontier Corps (FC), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. 

The ANF officials seized 36kg and 500 grams of ice, 8kg and 580 grams of suspicious material and 7kg heroin from the detained suspects at Torkham border. 

Meanwhile, two separate operations were conducted at a private courier office in Karachi where 230 grams of suspicious material was recovered from the parcel jackets to be sent to London and 10 grams of ice recovered from another parcel booked for Dubai. 

The accused were booked in separate cases which were registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
